What can I expect from the class?

The class will give you a good foundation into the Primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. The classes are strong and dynamic. Many people find the first few classes physically challenging but if you work within your limits you will soon develop the strength and flexibility to flow through the class.

What benefits can I expect from the class?

The classes will quickly develop your strength, flexibility and overall sense of wellbeing. The more often you come to the class the more familiar you become with the sequence, the deeper you come into the positions (asanas) and the more benefit you will achieve from each session. Hopefully you will leave feeling invigorated and 2 inches taller!

Why are students adjusted?

Adjustments are used to correct poor alignment and help take students deeper into a position. If you do not want to be adjusted just inform the teacher before the class.

Should I come to the Beginners or Intermediate Class?

Obviously if you are have no or little experience of yoga then you should come to the Beginner's Class. However the Beginner's Class is also suitable for those who have not been to a class for a while or who want a gentler practice or if you have an injury and want to take it easy. The Beginner's class is an hour and the Intermediate Class and hour and a half.

Do I need to book a class?

You can reserve your space or pay for your class using the booking tab above. This lets me know that you are coming to the class but you can just drop-in even if you haven't booked a class.
