What can I expect from the class?
The class will give you a good foundation into the Primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. The classes are strong and dynamic. Many people find the first few classes physically challenging but if you work within your limits you will soon develop the strength and flexibility to flow through the class.
What benefits can I expect from the class?
The classes will quickly develop your strength, flexibility and overall sense of wellbeing. The more often you come to the class the more familiar you become with the sequence, the deeper you come into the positions (asanas) and the more benefit you will achieve from each session. Hopefully you will leave feeling invigorated and 2 inches taller!
Why are students adjusted?
Adjustments are used to correct poor alignment and help take students deeper into a position. If you do not want to be adjusted just inform the teacher before the class.
Should I come to the Beginners or Intermediate Class?
Obviously if you are have no or little experience of yoga then you should come to the Beginner's Class. However the Beginner's Class is also suitable for those who have not been to a class for a while or who want a gentler practice or if you have an injury and want to take it easy. The Beginner's class is an hour and the Intermediate Class and hour and a half.
Do I need to book a class?
You can reserve your space or pay for your class using the booking tab above. This lets me know that you are coming to the class but you can just drop-in even if you haven't booked a class.
What Student's say about the class - Review by Dawn
"I love the way the classes make me totally focus and clear my mind of everything else and how relaxed but energised I feel afterwards. Everything is really well explained and I really appreciate the personal posture correction. Angela is great at introducing the postures to new people while maintaining the pace and flow of the class for those that have had a little more experience. She is also very mindful of anyone who may have issues / injuries and require modifications. My only complaint is it is only once a week - I would like to do more!"

Class Review by Lindy
"The perfect antidote to a day spent in the office! I had forgotten how calming the effect of the rhythmic movements was, whilst also noticeably building core strength and flexibility, and each week being gently pushed to go that little bit further. Very glad I have picked up the classes again. Thank you!"

"I just wanted to let you know I really miss your classes! I've been struggling to find a yoga class I enjoy as much as I did yours. I also wanted to continue practising Ashtanga yoga but there is nothing in the area. I wish we lived closed and I could still go to your classes. You are an amazing yoga teacher and I doubt I will ever find a teacher like you again.""

Class Review by Moira
"I had to email you to say how absolutely chuffed I was to have done the headstand not in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever achieve this and it felt wonderful, thank you for being there for my support and enabling me not to fall, I love Ashtanga Yoga and am glad I can do it twice a week - don't be embarrassed but you are an excellent professional teacher and I am sure yoga helps my back immensely."
